Hi, my name is Ella. I’m a junior rider working my way through the jumper ring with my mare. I got into horses about 5 years ago after convincing my parents to take lessons at the barn near my house. Of course, about 2 years later, I had my own horse. My first horse, Lincon, brought me from my first show to showing 1m jumpers in just under a year, He now lives in BC with his amateur owner and I have since been connected with my current mount, Breeze. Meet Cornelia, or as we know her around the barn, Breeze. Breeze is a 2007 Hanoverian x TB bred by ravine ranch and is a barn favourite with her big personality and even bigger heart. She is opinionated and has something to say about everything, but above all loves to be around people (an occasional wither scratching doesn’t hurt either!). One of Breeze’s favourite things is being in the ring. She always feels best after she’s walked into the ring and heard the buzzer go. Although she measures a small 15.2hh, Breeze has lots of scope and spunk for the jumper ring. Together we have successfully shown to 1.15m jumpers and have plans for more. About 6 months ago, Breeze was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease. To begin with, the road to diagnosis proved to be a difficult issue with constant shifting lameness, a sore back and any treatment proving to have short-lived effects. Even harder though, was the recovery after diagnosis had been made. Apart from the stress of IV injections and oral antibiotics for over a month, Breeze struggled with extreme soreness that would shift from one day to the other. This is where the pemf treatments came into play. Through magnawave treatments we were able to and continue to manage her muscle and joint pain as she recovers from the effects of the lyme disease. It was the only thing that kept Breeze feeling sound under saddle. I always know when Breeze needs another treatment and after she’s had one because she feels like two completely different horses! Overall, magnawave played a huge part in Breeze’s recovery and is one of the main factors that she is back to being a performance horse and continues to improve. I would strongly recommend it to any horse whether a show horse or pleasure, there are no negative effects and I have only ever seem improvement with the use of magnawave. Not only has pemf played a huge role in Breeze’s recovery, but Miranda is also wonderful to work with. She has lots of knowledge behind her to treat and create the best treatment plan for you and your horse.
